Titus Barham the owner of Express Dairies died in July 1937 when he was due to become the Charter Mayor of the newly formed Wembley Borough Council.

Titus was a major benefactor helping to set up Wembley Hospital, the Tennis Club in Sylvester Road, providing the land for Barham Primary School & supporting many other causes.

Under his will Titus donated his House & Gardens for “the enjoyment of local people” under the management of the local Council – these became Barham Park.

Friends of Barham Library celebrated this amazing gift by holding a Vintage Tea Party on Saturday 8 July 2017 (the 80th anniversary) for 37 guests including 6 members of the Barham family. On Sunday 9 July the Library was opened for the public with over 100 visitors treated to a special cream tea plus showing of 1930s films from a Kino Van.

More celebrations are planned over the coming few months.
